How do you ship equipment?

Most coffee makers are shipped via ground services like FedEx or UPS. Larger coffee makers and frozen drink machines are shipped truck freight. Extra charges apply for residential deliveries. If you do not have a ship to commercial address we can ship your item to a local terminal for pick up. Contact us for more details, rates and freight terminal locations.

How long will used equipment last? |
New equipment lasts longest. Our factory trained technicians inspect each used item (except as-is sales) before it is shipped to you. Any parts that are defective are replaced. Experience is key as our technicians know the common trouble areas, and replace high failure - low
reliability
components, so your equipment should work trouble free for a long time.

Why should I buy used? |
The most obvious answer is cost. Many coffee roasting companies take advantage of lower out of pocket costs for refurbished equipment. Used models usually cost less than half of new.

My coffee maker does not get hot? |
Damage to the heating element can occur if they are turned on before the tank is full of water. In order to protect against this type of damage many coffee brewers are shipped with the thermostat turned down. After the tank is full the user must turn up the thermostat in order to make hot water. If you need help, please contact us.

What warranties do you offer on your used equipment? |
Most models are offered guaranteed to work when you get the item and carry a 30 day parts warranty after that. Many parts are fairly simple to replace. Please contact our service department if you need help in troubleshooting and locating replacement parts. |
Who can I get to repair my equipment, does Affiliated Equipment do repairs?

Many times a person handy with a multimeter and hand tools can make simple repairs. Most towns have local
restaurant
equipment companies that can repair machines very quickly and efficiently. Customers are always welcome to send items for repair directly to us. |
Where can I get service and owner's manuals? |
Affiliated Equipment Company has most equipment manuals in stock. Many manufacturers offer excellent support via their company website. Most manuals are available for download in pdf formats. |
Do you have a showroom I can visit? |
Yes, but our facility retail space is modest. Our building is geared mainly for production. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4 central time. |
Does Affiliated Equipment accept trade ins? |
Yes, but keep in mind that we mainly purchase used equipment in very large lots at low prices. Contact one of our sales persons for more details. |
